How it works

How activating power and water works with Marktstroom

This is how Ease2pay Marktstroom works

Step 1:
Sign up

Are you using Marktstroom for the first time? Then create an account on the website or in the app. After this, you can use your login information to use at all Marktstroom locations.

At a Marktstroom point, you activate power and water. The steps below explain how to turn a facility on and off, and how to make a payment.

Step 2:
Activate power or water

In the app or on the website, select the location where you are. It works as follows:
On the site, see which five-digit code belongs to your facility and then select it in the app to activate.

Do you want to use water? Then make sure you stay by the water hose until you have switched it off again.

Do you want to use electricity? You can see that you have switched on the power when the blue LED ring lights up (if present).

If no more electricity and/or water consumption is registered after a period of time, the facilities turn off automatically. Check this to be sure when you leave the site.

Step 3:
Turn off power

In the app and on the website, you can view your ongoing transactions.

Do you want to stop the facilities? Then click on the stop symbol.

Note: you have to stop all the facilities you use separately.
Did you use electricity? Removing only the power cable does not end the power supply.

Step 4:
Pay

You will receive a monthly invoice. Aren’t using the app for a month? Then you won't get an invoice either.

When registering your account, you can choose between two payment options:

  1. Direct debit: an amount will be automatically debited from your bank account each month. You will receive an e-mail containing the invoice.
  2. Manual payment: you will receive an e-mail each month informing you that the invoice is available in the app and in the portal on the website. You make the payment via iDeal, Sofort, Mr Cash or Credit Card (MasterCard or VISA).

Do you want to change your payment method? Log in with your details in the app or on our website and adjust the payment details under 'Settings'.

Step 1: Sign Up

De gebruiker meldt zich gratis aan op de website of via de Aan/Uit app. Hierna kan door heel Nederland en België gebruik worden gemaakt van onze diensten tegen de lokale tarieven.

Step 2: On

Upon arriving at the marina, the user can activate lodging, power, water or any other facility. The AanUit points are identified by our logo and provided with a five-digit number. This number can be used to activate the facility.

Step3: Off

Users turn off the facility themselves in the app. The bill is automatically mailed at the beginning of the next month and we make sure the payment reaches your account.

Additional information

It may happen that after switching on, the facility is not activated. This can have several causes. Some of these you may be able to remedy yourself. If you notice a defect or malfunction, please contact our customer service at servicdesk@aanuit.net.

If you use the website or the smartphone app, you can check the status of a socket; if the status is at "not available," the socket is under maintenance and therefore unavailable. In that case, it is best to look for another power strip.

Alle zuilen van Marktstroom zijn voorzien van een aardlekschakelaar. Deze aardlekschakelaar is meestal te resetten door de beheerder. De aardlekschakelaar dient zich in de rode staat te bevinden; dit betekent dat de aardlek ingeschakeld is. Indien deze groen of grijs is, is de aardlekschakelaar uitgeschakeld en zal er geen stroom beschikbaar zijn. 

It can sometimes take a while for a column to turn on or off. Normally this takes a few seconds, but due to traffic on the network, for example during a festival, this can increase to a few dozen seconds. If you have ended your delivery via the app, website or phone, but it does not seem to switch off, you do not need to contact us. The system has received your "off" request and administratively shuts off the supply; therefore, the next customer does not use power at your expense!

You remain informed of your costs via a daily text message and/or e-mail (you can change this by logging in). If you operate the Marktstroom Points via the call computer then start and end of delivery will be confirmed to you by SMS and/or e-mail.

If you use the Marktstroom app or access the service via your personal account on the website, you will also always have a view of your current use, costs and the status of your connection and residence (active/inactive).

You can terminate power through the same method you used for activation (see step 3).

Let opNote: disconnecting the power cable does not end your delivery, you must end the delivery via app, site or phone.

You pay afterwards via one of our payment methods which you have chosen during registration.

  • By far the easiest way is by direct debit. After the end of the month the amount is automatically deducted from you bankaccount. After payment, you will receive your invoice by email
  • If you have not opted for direct debit you will receive an email after the end of the month containing your invoice and a payment link. You can then pay the amount via iDeal, Sofort, Mr. Cash or Credit Card (MasterCard or VISA).

Via marktstroom.nl (log in at the top right of this page) you can also view your invoice at any time. Here you can also change your payment method.

You can also use Marktstroom without registering yourself as a customer first. You then pay directly by credit card. There are additional costs associated with this: € 1.00 per transaction. As an unregistered user you can only use the 088 number for activation and deactivation of Marktstroom points and therefore do not use the app and site as an activation and information channel. You will also not receive an invoice in this case. Only MasterCard and VISA are accepted.
