Laadpalen veroveren Amsterdam

Elektrisch varen heeft de toekomst. Zeker in een stad als Amsterdam, dat heel populair is onder eigenaren van plezierboten. Inmiddels is niet alleen de gemeente actief laadpunten aan het plaatsen, er zijn ook andere initiatieven gaande.

Amsterdam is een prachtige stad om doorheen te varen. Maar dat mag straks alleen nog maar met een elektrisch aangedreven boot. De luchtkwaliteit in Amsterdam is slecht, slechter dan in andere Europese steden, volgens Egbert de Vries, wethouder in Amsterdam. We schreven al eerder over hoe elektrisch varen de toekomst van de Amsterdamse waterwegen bepaalt. In 2025 moeten alle bootjes in de binnenstad van Amsterdam uitstootvrij varen, in 2030 geldt dat voor alle Amsterdamse wateren. Dat gaat om zo’n 12.000 pleziervaartuigen. Een uitdaging.

Laadpalen langs het water

Om die uitdaging het hoofd te bieden, heeft de Amsterdamse gemeente laadpunten geplaatst op verschillende plekken langs het water. Deze laadpalen kunnen worden bediend via de AanUit.net-app van Ease2pay. Dat maakt het eenvoudig om te zien waar de laadpalen zijn, of ze bezet zijn en wat de kosten zijn per kilowattuur. Stroompunten op woonboten

Maar er zijn meer duurzame alternatieven die Amsterdam helpen uitstootvrij te varen. Stroomboot verenigt woonbooteigenaren en eigenaren van particuliere boten en draagt bij aan een toekomstbestendige oplossing door de bestaande stroompunten van woonboten als oplaadpunten aan te bieden. Het doel van Stroomboot is om een groene laadinfrastructuur te creëren voor alle particuliere plezierboten in Amsterdam. Ook het laadproces van de Stroomboot wordt gecoördineerd door een smartphone-app. De eerste Stroombootlocatie is te vinden op De Pelikaan, in de Houthavens.
